This is the same signal as the Master L/R Output, but the Master Volume does not affect this at all.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference, as the manual states this should go to something like an off-board recording device like a tape deck or DAT. One thing I forgot to mention, my mixer is using the "record out" via RCA cables to the Aux RCA inputs on my computer speaker's Subwoofer (Logitech G-51's).

When switched otherwise, I cannot hear anything from my PC I use it solely in "To Stereo," to allow me to hear anything coming from my PC. When it's set "To Monitor," the signals are sent to the Monitor Out jacks, the Phones jack, and the VU meter. There's also a "to stereo/to monitor" switch located next to this control which I have set to "to stereo." When set to "To Stereo," the signals input from the 2TR (for something like a CD deck, iPod) and the USB connector are sent to the Stereo L/R bus. I never touch this control, but use my G-51's control pod to control overall volume to what I'm listening to. This directly affects what I hear through my speakers. This is what I use as my main volume control. The Monitor Mix is set the same, 3/4 where the small marking is on the mixer. This volume control does not affect the volume of what's being played back, whether it be what I've recorded, or Windows' sounds (games, music, movies, other apps, system sounds, etc). The Master Stereo volume is set to 3/4 (there's a small mark on the mixer that the manual advises it to be set to, to record optimally). I have a Master (stereo) volume, a Monitor Mix control (this only adjusts the reference volume, not the recording/track volume), plus I also have a Monitor/Phones volume, for the phones/monitor outputs of the mixer (which are unused). There are no mic's involved, I plug both my acoustic guitar and bass directly into the board. In Windows itself, I have the Yamaha set to both my recording and playback devices.
